48 days until level 1
14 days until COMSAE 2
This past week and a half has been brutal. For me, for everyone in my class. This is what I have expected medical school to be like. I was pushed to my limit a couple times. I was able to complete all of my tests, practical exams and assessments, but it was rough. It was not pretty and my mind was playing tricks on me the whole time.
COMSAE 1 = 445
Random, timed 44 PQs
5/3 = 70.5%
5/4 = 59.1%
5/9 = 63.6%
5/9 = 61.4%
A couple things I will say about the difference between COMSAE and TrueLearn was that the questions felt a lot more straightforward. There were some questions that I noticed were very similar to the PQs I’ve done on TrueLearn, but COMSAE questions felt like a wider range of questions, more direct that’s to say fewer higher order questions, and less fluff. There were obviously some questions on COMSAE that were higher order, but maybe not as much as TrueLearn.
I think I can feel myself getting better, but I also feel like the numbers might be lying to me. It’s as if those numbers aren’t representing what I actually know. The 60% mark on timed random 44 question PQs is what my school uses as a metric to determine readiness to sit for COMLEX, and I feel like I am not there yet. I am going to keep pushing and stay focused on my goal.
